Are you a fan of horror movies and are looking for fresh new horror flicks always? Do you love to see ghosts doing weird things at haunted places like castles? Here’s the good news for you. A fresh horror movie is coming your way. Its name is The Castle and it certainly has everything horror movie buffs would love.
The Castle is a WW2 based Horror feature film on the setting of a haunted castle in Germany where a couple reaches for vacation and actually gets trapped in the horrific activities by ghosts of Nazi army officers.
The names of the husband and wife are Walter and Anna respectively who first decide to stay in a cottage for their vacation. But they receive an email in which they get an enticing offer to stay in a castle in Germany for a price less than that of the cottage they were planning to stay in. Naturally the offer is too appealing to reject and they decide to accept it. But what they don’t know is the fact that the said castle has a very dark history which has been shown in the beginning of the film and is going to be a great terror for them.
The movie starts with the time period around 1945 when the World War 2 was about to end. The first ten minutes of the film are devoted to the historic story where a terrible war was fought with several armored vehicles, tanks and jeeps. What’s an impressive thing is that the Castle has been shown to be in Germany, but actually it’s in Illinois. Both German and American re-enactors have made the war and all the scenes look real.
Those who love war scenes will love this part of the film especially because there are not only armored vehicles, but also blood pack squibs, explosions and other real-looking FX. With 5 top of the line cameras, a seasoned crew that is experienced for working with big-budget films and television shows and a superb location together has made all the scenes look fantastic.
The German SS under an evil Colonel Hoffman has created an atmosphere of terror for the past 7 years, by conducting mass shootings and plundering of valuable treasures and artifacts throughout Europe. Finally the Allied forces reach the Castle where a large battle takes place that ends with the death of all the Nazis and suicide of the Colonel.
Walter and Anna are a Chicago-based couple and are sent an email in which they are offered a stay in the Castle which naturally appeals them and they accept it. When they reach the Castle, the vista is extremely beautiful and they dream of a fairytale vacation, till they experience awful and eerie things happening with them in the Castle. They get a strange feeling that they are not alone. It’s because Colonel Hoffman and his soldiers never left the Castle. Their ghosts are trapped in a hell which they have created themselves. And these ghosts have some evil plans for this couple.
Walter and Anna, instead of enjoying vacation, have to fight for their life. Their dream vacation turns into a nightmare which seems to be never-ending.
